Vacancy Details

A total of 7,994 posts have been announced under the Revenue Council, Lucknow. The category-wise distribution of vacancies is as follows:

  • Unreserved (General): 1,446 posts.

  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 1,441 posts.

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 1,446 posts.

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 150 posts.

  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 792 posts.

Additionally, horizontal reservations are provided: 1,592 seats for women, 391 for Ex-servicemen, and specific allocations for PwD (Divyangjan) candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed the Intermediate (12th Grade) examination from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, UP, or any equivalent examination recognized by the Government.

  • Preferential Qualification: Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years or possess an NCC ‘B’ certificate will be given preference during the final selection.

2. Mandatory Requirement (PET 2025)

  • Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and possess a valid scorecard are eligible to apply.

  • Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be based on the candidate’s PET-2025 normalized score. Candidates with zero or negative marks will not be considered.

3. Age Limit

  • As of July 1, 2025, the candidate must be between 18 and 40 years of age.

  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and other special categories will be applicable as per UP Government rules.

Application Fee

At the time of initial application, all candidates are required to pay a processing fee:

  • All Categories (General/OBC/SC/ST): ₹25.

  • Note: Candidates shortlisted for the Main Exam will be required to pay an additional examination fee separately before downloading their admit cards.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Lekhpal Main Examination will consist of a single objective-type question paper.

Examination Structure:

  • Total Questions: 100

  • Total Marks: 100

  • Duration: 2 Hours (120 minutes)

  • Negative Marking: 1/4th (25%) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
