SSC MTS & Havaldar Examination 2025 Self Slot for CBT Exam
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released an important notice regarding the Self Slot Selection facility for candidates appearing in the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025. This notice is crucial for all registered candidates, as failure to follow the given instructions may result in non-generation of the admit card.
According to the official notification issued by the IT Section of SSC, the Computer Based Examination (CBE) for SSC MTS and Havaldar 2025 is scheduled to be conducted from 4th February 2026 onwards
To make the examination process more convenient and candidate-friendly, SSC has introduced a self slot selection system.
What is Self Slot Selection?
The self slot selection facility allows candidates to choose their preferred examination city and examination date block on their own, instead of being randomly allotted by the Commission. This initiative has been introduced to reduce inconvenience and provide flexibility to candidates.
To avail this facility, candidates must log in to the SSC Candidate Portal using their registration credentials and complete the slot selection process within the prescribed timeline.
Slot Selection Window: Important Dates
SSC has clearly specified the timeline for exercising the slot selection option.
The slot selection window
- open from 16 January 2026 to 25 January 2026 (up to 11:00 PM)

Candidates are strongly advised not to wait until the last date, as server load or technical issues may cause difficulties.
Once a candidate selects and submits their examination slot, the choice will be treated as final. SSC has explicitly stated that no change requests or representations will be entertained after submission under any circumstances.
City Information and Admit Card Release
SSC has further informed that the Exam City Information (City Intimation Slip) will be made live on 30 January 2026
This will allow candidates to know the city where their examination centre will be located, helping them plan travel and accommodation in advance.
The Admission Certificate (Admit Card) for SSC MTS & Havaldar 2025 will be generated 2 to 3 days prior to the candidate’s examination date, in line with the Commission’s existing policy. Candidates must download the admit card from the official SSC website only.
What If a Candidate Misses Slot Selection?
SSC has also provided an alternative option for candidates who fail to select their slot within the main window. Such candidates can still confirm their willingness to appear in the examination through the Feedback Module available on the candidate portal.
The last date to submit confirmation through the Feedback Module is 28 January 2026 (up to 11:00 PM) However, candidates should note that this option does not guarantee preferred city or date allocation.
If a candidate fails to complete both the slot selection process and the feedback confirmation, SSC will assume that the candidate is not willing to appear for the examination. In such cases, the admit card will not be generated, and the candidate will be excluded from the examination process.
Slot Allocation on Best Effort Basis
For candidates who only confirm through the Feedback Module and do not select a slot, the slot allocation will be done by SSC on a best effort basis. The decision taken by the Commission regarding such allocation will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be accepted in this regard
