In the medical examination, the candidate’s health is thoroughly checked by the Force’s Medical Officer. Key medical standards include:
1. Eye Sight Standards
The candidate’s vision must conform to the following standards:

2. Tattoo Policy
Strict rules govern tattoos:

Location: Tattoos on traditional spots like the inner aspect of the forearm may be allowed. Tattoos on the wrist, back of the hand, or below the elbow are generally not acceptable.

Size: The size of the tattoo should be less than 1/4th of the particular body part where it is located.

Subject Matter: The tattoo must bear religious significance and should not be against the country’s security or honour.
3. Hearing Ability
Hearing ability must be normal. Candidates must be able to hear normally with both ears. Ear infections or chronic diseases are not permitted.
4. Physical Deformities and Defects
Candidates must be free from major defects such as:
