Essential Documents to Carry
To ensure entry into the examination hall, candidates must carry the following:
-
Printed Admit Card: A clear, color printout is preferred.
-
Original Photo ID: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport (Xerox copies are not allowed).
-
Vision Certificate: Since the CBAT is for posts like Station Master, a Vision Certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-VI) signed by an Eye Specialist is mandatory. Without this, entry will be strictly denied.
-
Photographs: Carry two recent passport-sized color photographs.
CBAT Exam Pattern & Guidelines
The Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is unique as it does not have negative marking but requires candidates to qualify in each “Test Battery.”
-
Test Batteries: The exam consists of 5 to 6 different test batteries (Intelligence Test, Selective Attention Test, Spatial Scanning, etc.).
-
Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify.
-
Biometric Verification: Aadhaar-based biometric verification will be conducted at the center. Ensure your thumb impression is clear.
-
Medical Standards: Candidates appearing for CBAT must meet the A-2 Medical Category standards.
Preparation Tip
Since the CBAT tests your psychological and cognitive response time, it is highly recommended to practice using the Mock Test Link provided on the official RRB websites. This will help you familiarize yourself with the interface and the speed required for the “Selective Attention” and “Information Ordering” tests.
