3. Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the prescribed Degree/Diploma or Professional qualification for the relevant post as of the closing date (29/01/2026). Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.

  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India or meet other nationality criteria as specified in the notice.

  • Medical Standards: Different medical standards (B1, C1, C2) are set for each post, with visual acuity (eyesight) being a crucial factor.

    4. Application Fee

The application fee can be paid via online modes (UPI, Net Banking, Card):

  • SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Female/Minorities/EBC: Rs. 250/- (Fully refundable upon appearing in the CBT).

  • Others: Rs. 500/- (Rs. 400/- is refundable after deducting bank charges, provided the candidate appears in the CBT).

5. Exam Pattern

The recruitment process includes the following stages:

  1. Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): This is an online examination.

  2. Translation Test: Applicable only for the Junior Translator (Hindi) post; it is qualifying in nature.

  3. Document Verification (DV): Candidates will be called based on their merit in the CBT.

  4. Medical Examination: A medical fitness test is mandatory before final selection.

    Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer in the CBT.

6. Syllabus

The syllabus varies for each post (detailed in Annexures VII to XIV). For example:

  • Junior Translator (Hindi): Includes language proficiency (50% – 20% English, 30% Hindi) and questions on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, Simple Arithmetic, and Computer basics.

  • Lab Assistant Gr.III: Focuses on specialized subjects like Chemistry and Metallurgy.

  • Candidates can apply to only one RRB.

  • Identity verification using Aadhaar is recommended for a smoother process.
