How to Check Your Tier-II Exam City Details

Candidates can access their city intimation details through the official portal. Please note that this is not the admit card, but an advance notification to help you plan your travel and accommodation.

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to mha.gov.in or the NCS portal.

  2. Find the Login Link: Look for the link titled “Online Applications for Tier-II Exam for the posts of ACIO Grade II/ Executive in IB.”

  3. Enter Credentials: Log in using your User ID (Registration Number) and Password (or Date of Birth as per instructions).

  4. View City Info: Click on the “City Intimation” tab on your dashboard.

  5. Download/Print: Save a copy of the city slip for your reference.

Note: The Ministry has also sent automated emails to the registered email IDs of shortlisted candidates containing these details. Check your inbox and spam folder.


Tier-II Exam Pattern (Descriptive)

The Tier-II exam is a descriptive paper designed to test your writing skills and analytical capability.

  • Total Marks: 50

  • Time Duration: 1 Hour

  • Paper Breakdown: * Essay Writing: 30 Marks

    • English Comprehension & Précis Writing: 20 Marks


Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Travel Planning: Since the exam is on January 11, 2026, use the city intimation details to book your tickets early, especially if your center is in another state.

  • Admit Card: The final admit card, which contains the exact venue address and reporting time, will be available about 3–4 days before the exam.

  • Documents Required: On the exam day, you must carry a printed copy of your Admit Card, a valid Photo ID proof (Aadhar, PAN, etc.), and recent photographs.
