Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a Graduation Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent examination recognized by the State Government on or before August 1, 2025.

2. Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)

The age is calculated based on the Matriculation certificate.

  • General (Unreserved): Male: 20–37 years | Female: 20–40 years.

  • BC/EBC: Male & Female: 20–40 years.

  • SC/ST: Male & Female: 20–42 years.

  • Government Employees: Up to 5 years relaxation for those with 3 years of regular service.

  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation up to 3 years plus the period of service rendered, not exceeding a total age of 57 years.


Selection Process

The selection is a rigorous three-stage process designed to test both mental aptitude and physical fitness.

Stage 1: Preliminary Written Examination

  • Format: 200 marks, 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

  • Duration: 2 hours.

  • Syllabus: General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

  • Requirement: Minimum 30% marks to qualify for the Mains.

  • Selection: 20 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the next round.

Stage 2: Main Written Examination

Successful candidates from the Prelims will face two papers:

  • Paper I (General Hindi): 200 marks (100 questions). Minimum 30% required to pass. These marks are not added to the final merit list.

  • Paper II (General Studies): 200 marks (100 questions). Covers General Science, Civics, Indian History, Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability.

  • Negative Marking: 0.2 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer in both stages.

Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates amounting to 6 times the vacancies will be called for the PET. This stage is qualifying in nature.

Physical Standard Requirements

Failure to meet these minimum standards will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Chest (Men Only):

    • Unreserved/BC/EBC: 81 cm (unexpanded), 86 cm (expanded).

    • SC/ST: 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded).

    • Note: Minimum 5 cm expansion is mandatory.

  • Weight (Women Only): Minimum 48 kg for all categories.
