Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the following mandatory requirements:

1. Nationality and Education

Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination by August 01, 2025.

2. Age Limit (As of August 01, 2025)

The age of the candidate is calculated based on their Matriculation certificate

General (Male): 18 to 37 years.
General (Female): 18 to 40 years.
BC/EBC (Male & Female) and Transgender: 18 to 40 years.
SC/ST (Male & Female): 18 to 42 years.
Government Employees: Permanent Bihar government employees with 3 years of service get up to 5 years of age relaxation.

Physical Standards (Non-Scored)

While no marks are awarded for physical measurements, failing to meet these will lead to disqualification:

Height Requirements

General/BC (Male): Minimum 165 cm.
EBC/SC/ST (Male): Minimum 160 cm.
All Categories (Female): Minimum 155 cm.

Chest (Male Only)

General/BC/EBC: Unexpanded – 81 cm; Expanded – 86 cm.
SC/ST: Unexpanded – 79 cm; Expanded – 84 cm.
Note: A minimum expansion of 5 cm is mandatory.

Weight

All Female Candidates: Minimum 48 kg.

The Selection Process

The selection process consists of two major stages: a Written Competitive Examination and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Stage 1: Written Examination

Level: 10th Class (Matriculation) standard.
Format: 100 objective-type questions.
Duration: 2 Hours.
Subjects: Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
Passing Marks: A minimum of 30% is required to qualify for the PET.
Note: The written exam is qualifying only and will not be used for the final merit list.

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 100 Marks

The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in these three events:

Running (50 Marks):
- Men (1.6 km): Max 6 mins. Under 5 mins for full marks.
- Women (1 km): Max 5 mins. Under 4 mins for full marks.
Shot Put / Gola Phek (25 Marks):
- Men: 16-pound ball. Minimum throw 16 feet.
- Women: 12-pound ball. Minimum throw 12 feet.
High Jump (25 Marks):
- Men: Minimum 4 feet.
- Women: Minimum 3 feet.
